Unitek College

Unitek College trains nurses and medical assistants, and its Sacramento campus occupies the fourth floor of an office building on Watt Avenue. Prospective students and guests spend time waiting in its hallways and lobby, reading whatever is on the walls, so the school wanted its brand carried through the space and clear information about its programs on display.

For the glass-walled conference room we designed a dusted crystal vinyl that gives the room privacy, with the Unitek College logo, a swirl mark and the name, cut out of the frost so it reads in clear glass. In the hallway we fabricated acrylic wall signs with printed program information, including Medical Assisting and Vocational Nursing panels listing duties, job outlook and workplaces, mounted on standoffs so they float off the textured wall. We also produced and installed a blue and teal wave graphic applied directly to the lower hallway wall, with the mission statement, Building Better Futures, in navy flat cut-out letters above it.

Schools use their walls to teach before class even starts. Frosted glass, program panels and a branded mural turn ordinary office space into a campus that tells visitors what the school does and where its students go next.
