US Foods CHEF'STORE

CHEF'STORE is a food service and restaurant supply store run by US Foods and open to the public as well as to restaurants. Its Richards Boulevard location, on a busy multilane stretch with traffic signals and power lines overhead, already had a two-section illuminated cabinet on a tall pole at the street, so the cabinet could stay and only the faces needed to change.

We made new acrylic faces for both sections of the existing cabinet. The top face carries the US Foods logo in green and red beside CHEF'STORE in green, with the tagline Great Food. Wholesale Prices. beneath. The lower face lists what the store offers in dark lettering on white: Fresh Meat & Produce, Restaurant Supplies & Packaging, and Open 7 Days a Week set apart in bold. The dark cabinet frame and pole stayed in place, so the update went in without replacing any structure.

Refacing an existing pole cabinet is one of the most economical ways to update a sign. When a brand changes or a new tenant moves in, new faces put the current name on the street while the structure and lighting keep working.
